With a rated output of 18,000 BTU, the MRCOOL DIY-18-HP-230B25 wall mounted air handler can generally heat and cool an average room in ideal climates. With this major obstacle out of the way, you will only need to follow the instructions for the unit and hard wire the condenser to power.

- I Love my Mini Split

I added an 18 x 32 family room onto the back of my house in 2003. The contractor recommended a Mini Split Heating & Air System; I am so glad he did! It saved my thousands of dollars and works beautifully! This unit is 16 years old now and has the old refrigerant in the lines. And from what I have been told there is no easy fix to add newly required refrigerant. Plus, my old can't be controlled by my mobile phone; therefore, I am kind of looking forward to replacing it will the Mr. Cool unit in the near future.
