This 240 volt heater coil can be added to a Goodman air handler to provide winter-time heating capabilities.

If you are installing a heater coil in an air handler, line voltage is to be connected directly to the heater coil which will operate both the heater coil and air handler. A separate circuit for the air handler is not needed. 

Depending on the heater coil size being installed, one or two circuits to the heater coil will be necessary (see "PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS" below for quantity and amperage of circuits required for this heater coil.) At your home's circuit panel, individual 220 volt double-pole circuit breakers are required for each circuit.

OVERVIEW

The Goodman GSX130601 is a cooling-only condenser unit. Providing a 13 SEER efficiency with a single stage, reciprocating compressor, the GSX130601 is an inexpensive condenser to cool your home when paired with an AC coil.

5 ton

The GSX130601 condenser is a 5 ton AC only unit. In an ideal climate situation, the GSX130601 can usually cover a larger house. For this unit to function, an indoor air handler or coil is required, and this unit is cooling only with no heating capacity on its own.

13 SEER

The Goodman GSX130601 AC condenser is designed to be 13 SEER. This is the lowest efficiency on the market today, making it an inexpensive option for northern states. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards.

Due to state laws for minimum required efficiency, please note that this unit cannot be installed in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. The GSX130601 condenser comes with Goodman’s standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld.

With an enhanced copper tube and aluminum fin coil, the GSX130601 is designed to prevent coil degradation. With the baked-on powder-paint finish, the condenser’s heavy-gauge galvanized-steel cabinet is approved for up to 500 hours of salt-spray. The factory-installed filter dryer lowers general wear-and-tear on the unit. All of these features provide you with a durable, reliable condenser to be used whenever you need to cool your home.

The Goodman GSX130601 AC condenser comes standard with service valves that have sweat connections and easy-access gauge ports, both providing a lower installation difficulty and time to lower installation costs. The outer casing has both a top and a side access to allow for easier maintenance and warranty access when necessary.

5 Tons

The Goodman ARUF61D14 air handler is rated for up to 5 tons. In some packages, the air handler will be slightly larger in tonnage than the condenser in the package. This is intentional, as it maintains the overall efficiency of the entire system. From the factory, the unit does need an outdoor unit to function as an AC or heat pump air handler, however it can use an electric heat kit and acts as a straight electric heating unit when the kit field installed.

Warranty

The ARUF61D14 comes with Goodman’s standard 10 year parts warranty when registered online through the manufacturer. Please note that in order for the warranty to be upheld, the installation must be compliant to all related local and state codes, as well as the unit must be paired with an approved condenser.

The ARUF61D14 air handler is factory-sealed, making it compliant out of the box with 2001 Florida Building Code compliant and decreasing air leakage, increasing efficiency and saving the air to heat or cool your home and providing a peace of mind that the reliability of the unit will heat or cool your home whenever you need it to. Moreover, the ARUF61D14 has a sub-structure that increases overall unit stability, and its cabinet is durable in construction to protect your new investment.

The Goodman ARUF61D14 air handler contains both a coil and a blower motor in its cabinet. This one-piece design generally makes installations simpler, keeping more money in your pocket since it lowers installation costs. For accessory add-ons, there are multiple knockouts for easy installation, like a single-bulb UV light port. Moreover, the SmartFrame sub-structure provides enhanced stability and easier installation with its special mounting configurations, and the cabinet is designed to be able to function in the upflow, downflow, or horizontal configurations with ease.
