The Goodman GPD1436080M41 is rated for 3 tons on the heat pump and air conditioning side of the unit. On the gas side of the unit, the input is rated for 80,000 BTU, and an output of 65,000 BTU, calculated by multiplying the 81% efficiency with the input BTU.

14 SEER, 81% AFUE

At a standard efficiency, the GPD1436080M41 is 14 SEER on the electric side of the unit. The gas efficiency of the unit is 81%, or 81% of the gas that goes into the unit is used to heat your home and 19% of the gas is used up in normal operations and is lost out of the flue venting.

A dual fuel unit has both an electric-powered heat pump and a gas-powered burner, along with an air conditioner unit built-in. The heat pump functions down to around 30°F, where the unit has a safety cutoff to protect the unit and the gas heating side kicks in, continuing to heat your home at colder temperatures.
