The Goodman® GSX14 14 SEER Central Air Conditioner uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-410A and features operating sound levels that are among the best in the heating and air conditioning industry. R-410A is chlorine-free to help prevent damage to the ozone layer. The GSX14 central air conditioner features a high-efficiency Copeland® scroll compressor and is designed for the consumer who desires superior comfort, quiet operation, and environmentally friendly cooling performance.
The Goodman ASPT Multi-Position Air Handler with EEM (Energy-Saving) Motor is suitable for use with R-410A refrigerant and may be installed in a variety of locations. This air handler features a SmartFrame™ sub-structure that adds lateral stability, mounting locations for internal components, and additional insulation retention.

1.5 ton
The GSX140181 Goodman condenser is a 1.5 ton unit, meaning that it can cover up to a small home in an ideal climate. In some unit bundles, the required AC coil may be larger than this condenser in tonnage. This is intentional, as it maintains the unit’s efficiency.
14 SEER
The GSX140181 AC-only conditioner can be up to 14 SEER in efficiency when paired with the proper equipment. As the standard efficiency on the market for all states, this unit is average in efficiency. Every SEER point is 5-7% more efficient than the one lower than it, saving you money the higher the SEER rating of the unit. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards.
Due to state laws for minimum required efficiency, please note that this unit cannot be installed in the following states: Arizona, California, Nevada, and New Mexico. As a result, this unit will automatically be upgraded to a compliant condenser with the same specifications if you are in one of these states. If you have any questions, please contact us.
The GSX140181 condenser comes with Goodman’s standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld.
The GSX140181 Goodman AC condenser cabinet has a baked-on painted finish and is made of a galvanized-steel, making it approved for up to 500 hours of salt-spray and compliant with the 2010 Florida building code integrity requirements for hurricane-type winds when properly anchored. Moreover, the unit is equipped from the factory with a filter dryer that lowers general wear-and-tear on the unit. The GSX140181 provides peace of mind thanks to its durability and reliability enhancements.
The Goodman GSX140181 AC condenser comes standard with service valves that have sweat connections and easy-access gauge ports, both providing a lower installation difficulty and time to lower installation costs. The outer casing has both a top and a side access to allow for easier maintenance and warranty access when necessary.

2 Tons
The AVPTC33C14 air handler is rated for an output of 2 tons. In many cases, this tonnage will be larger than the condenser it is paired with, which increases the overall efficiency of the unit. Please note that this air handler needs a condenser to heat or cool. For straight heating or when backup heat is necessary in a heat pump application, the air handler is able to accommodate heat strips, available at an additional cost to be field-installed.
Warranty
Goodman offers a 10 year parts warranty with online registration and when the unit is matched with a covered condenser. Please note that installation that follows your state and local codes is required, normally requiring an EPA-certified installer for most of the work.
The Goodman AVPTC33C14 comes with a factory-installed TXV kit, preventing the need to install one to increase the unit’s efficiency. The unit is also able to be installed in any orientation—upflow, downflow, or horizontal—which allows it to be extremely versatile in application. For easy maintenance, there are two access panels on the unit, and there is a CFM indicator and a front-panel sight glass. There is also a built-in control board function that helps you diagnose the unit should the need arise.
The Goodman AVPTC33C14 is ComfortNet compatible, allowing it to communicate with compatible condensers. The variable speed motor provides the most precise temperature control possible. Both of these features keep you as comfortable as possible, no matter what temperature you like to keep the thermostat set on.
