The GCEC800603AX Goodman gas furnace is suitable in output for a medium-sized house in ideal climate conditions. The BTU count is the input per hour of the furnace, and the output is 48,000 BTU's (60,000 x 80% AFUE) per hour.

The GCEC800603AX Goodman gas furnace has the basic efficiency rating in furnaces on the market today. At 80% efficient, the furnace loses only 20% of fuel going into it to normal furnace operation, and the remaining 80% is used to heat your house. All 80% furnaces such as this one require metal flue venting, and furnaces that are 90% efficient or higher require plastic/PVC flue venting.

The GSX140241 Goodman condenser is a 2 ton unit, meaning that it can cover up to a small home in an ideal climate. In some unit bundles, the required AC coil may be larger than this condenser in tonnage. This is intentional, as it maintains the unit’s efficiency.

14 SEER

The GSX140241 AC-only conditioner can be up to 14 SEER in efficiency when paired with the proper equipment. As the standard efficiency on the market for all states, this unit is average in efficiency. Every SEER point is 5-7% more efficient than the one lower than it, saving you money the higher the SEER rating of the unit. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards.

Due to state laws for minimum required efficiency, please note that this unit cannot be installed in the following states: Arizona, California, Nevada, and New Mexico. 3 Tons

The Goodman CAPF3636A6 evaporator coil is rated for a 3 ton output. In many system configurations, this coil may be larger in tonnage than its paired condenser. This is intentional, to maintain the overall efficiency of the entire system.
Please note that in order for this coil to function, a furnace or blower and a condenser is required, all sold separately.

Warranty

The CAPF3636A6 coil is covered under Goodman’s standard 10 year parts warranty when the unit is installed following your state and local codes, the coil is paired with a compatible condenser, and the entire system is registered online through the manufacturer.

The Goodman CAPF3636A6 evaporator coil is able to be installed in upflow and downflow applications. With its rust-resistant, thermoplastic drain plan, water retention rate is significantly lower than previous models. For even more enhanced durability, the cabinet is made of a strong galvanized-steel with a leather-grain finish. If you ever need to perform maintenance on your coil, there is a split-seam on the front of the casing for easy internal access.
Please note that this coil will not work as a replacement for any single-piece air handler coils.
